Food Safety Level 1 - Basic Food Handling

Duration: 4 hours plus a workplace assessment

You need to choose your course from the following industry sector options:

Hospitality - SITXOHS002A - Follow Workplace Hygiene Procedures $95 - click here to enrol

Or

Health & community Services - HLTFS207B - Follow Basic Food Safety Practices $95 - click here to enrol.

On completion, successful students will receive a Statement of Attainment with the relevant nationally-recognised code.

All training is delivered by our training partner CFT International RTO #21120.

Assessment:


You will be assessed for your knowledge as you progress through the course and at the completion you will download a workplace assignment which is designed to test your skills.

To complete this you will need a third party observer who has a number of years experience in food preparation or who has a food safety qualification at the same level, or above, that being observed.

This person will observe you perform tasks and they will record comments in each of the boxes. They must put comments in every box and Yes/No/NA responses are not acceptable.


The course is designed:
  • For all those involved in preparing and/or serving food in the Hospitality or Health & Community Services industry sectors.
  • To meet the requirements of Aged Care and Childcare accreditation.
  • To meet the requirements of FSANZ Standard 3.2.2 Food Safety Practices and General Requirements.
